| Because I'm in the technology field (explains my spelling...), the electronics for the car were very important to me. Equally as important was who would install them. I went to the various "Stereo" shops in town and, believe it or not, opted for "The GoodGuys". They said that they had worked on Vipers before, and would put they're "top" guy on it. This turned out to be a bad idea. They trashed the inside of the car, left parts out, and turned a three day job into 30! I then had to take it to Cartronics here in Santa Rosa to have it fixed. They did a great job.
The heart of the system is the Pioneer AVX-P7000CD In-Dash Motorized LCD Color Display. This device is connected to the AVM-P8000R IP-bus Controller unit. Also connected to this unit is the AVIC-9DVD 8.5GB Dual Layer Navigation System, the CDX-P1270 12-Disc IP-Bus Multi-CD Player, and the CD-VC60 Voice Commander (world's biggest waste of money!). All in all, this system is harder to use than other stereos, sounds the same, but gets lots of attention!
